CIRCUIT BREAKER :

A circuit breaker is an automatically operated electrical switch designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by excessive current from an overload or short circuit. Its main function is to stop the flow of current after a fault is detected. Unlike a fuse, which blows once and must then be replaced, a circuit breaker can be reset (either manually or automatically) to resume normal operation.

"A Circuit breaker, is based on thermal or electromagnetic, principles. Almost all modern circuit, breaker, use both of these principles at the same time. Thermal protection allows tracking of long_term excess of maximum allowable current value. If overloaded, the permanent metal plate (1) is damaged, activating the release, which in turn opens the electrical circuit. "The Electromagnetic release, (2) reacts to a sharp increase, in current, for example, as in the case of a short circuit.
